Our main service is piano moving. The piano moving business varies with the customer needs. We average 6 to 10 piano moves a day. There are multiple reasons that people move pianos. Sometimes people are moving from one residence to another. Many people are buying one from a store or private individual, or getting one from a known friend or relative. Sometimes pianos are sent in to a tuner for repair. Sometimes they are moved to a furniture refinishing place for a fresh new look. Some pianos are moved inside of people’s homes into different rooms. Many people get new flooring done such as carpeting or wood floors renewed. Pianos are then moved twice. Out of the room that’s getting worked on, then returned back once the new flooring is laid. Other times pianos are moved for events, such as concerts and plays. Some people are moving long distances and need a skilled piano mover to help move it from their home into a rented truck or trailer.
A small but helpful service we provide is that we leave our grand skids at customers homes. This is for people that need to leave their grand on its side. It provides added protection of their grand that is left on its side. This need arises usually during a new floor construction or other home remodel that the piano is temporarily removed from the room. Many remodel situations means everything in the house is being moved to limited areas. Example, pianos are put in hallway’s, or in an extra bedroom, dining area or even sometimes in a garage. When leaving our skid behind we ask only to have the second move paid ahead for a downpayment. This insures us that we will be back for our equipment, and of course the return move of the piano.
